The Kansas State University Center for Sustainable Energy's REU program in sustainable bioenergy is supported by the National Science Foundation. Program Overview While at K-State, participants will also learn about our National Science Foundation IGERT program, applicable to those students pursuing Ph.D. degrees. Please see link. Please see this link for pictures of our 2011 REU cohort: pictures 2011 REU student webpages are listed here: webpages Check out K-State's YouTube Video on summer research programs here: video Finances (Total value more than $7,600 per student) Students will receive a stipend of $4,500 paid in three installments. 2012 Dates May 29 - August 3, 2012 Students will arrive on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. The program begins on May 29, 2012, and concludes on August 3, 2012. To be eligible to participate, students must be available for the entire time period of the program. Participating Departments for 2012 Research projects are aimed at providing students with multidisciplinary team experience in sustainable bioenergy. Projects are designed to enhance understanding of agricultural, technical, and socioeconomic issues related to sustainable production of biofuels.
